nicci> "how important is approval for certain things? this is a little venting of frustration over issues on a local university campus regarding freedom of speech. you can't express yourself unless it's approved with an actual approval stamp. well you can, but it's a violatio. oooooh. scary."

nicci> "doodle. drawing. body image. and also i thought it would be fun to collect signatures of artists!"

nicci> "date stamp. date stamp. repeat dozens of times and viola! almost instant background!"

nicci> "a woman with interesting hair came into the library. i felt the need to doodle-document it. ooooh."

nicci> "i had grapes. i decided to draw a girl. and some not-so-well-rendered grapes. aah, the simple life."

nicci> "contemporary fairy godmother. nuff said."

nicci> "i had ballpoint pens at work when i drew this. my choices were black, red, and blue. i decided to get crazy and not use black."

nicci> "to amy's cup of coffee and strip of fabric, i added a little watercolor scene, and decided it was indoors... and that the coffee cup should be really huge! that is an unpainted cookie at the bottom. i forgot to color it because i was fixated on the curtains. alas!"

nicci> "amy started this spread of birds. she wrote. i just added some curls so far!"

nicci> "amy painted the red ballons and did the line work on the left side. i just added a smidge of color and some curls in the balloons--oh, and the text in english."

nicci> "amy did the dragonfly and flower line drawings. i added the color, kitty, and stamping, as well as the weird little bee and text."

nicci> "this is how it looked when it came back from amy, after i added a touch of color to the face, and the stamped moon."

nicci> wide eyed and heavily mascara'd. there are some days when you just feel really, really awake. and over done.

nicci> christine federighi does some really interesting work. i happened to cut out these orbs from a photocopy of an article i read about her. i thought they were interesting. i wrote a little bit about her and doodled around it.
